Revelwood
The Revelwood is a biome of dense forests and the location of the capital of Embervale, Pikemead's Reach. A small passage in the north-west leads to the Blackmire sub-biome, a murky swamp for levels 13-15.
It is situated in the north-west corner of the map and connected to the Springlands to the south, the Nomad Highlands to the east, and Veilwater Basin to the north.

Enemies
The Revelwood, while introducing no new enemy factions, presents a more hostile and challenging environment than the Springlands. Many of the factions have been upgrade with new and more dangerous enemy variants, and the Vukah become the primary enemy faction for the first time in the Blackmire region.
Scavengers are the first enemy faction encountered, having taken over the abandoned settlements in the south and west, including
Willow Crush,
Thornhold, and
Glenwood's End. Be wary of a new Scavenger variant dual wielding Acid Cleavers patrolling these towns.
The Fell are still present everywhere within the Shroud, but dominate the Shrouded areas in the east, particularly
Pikemead's Reach. New Fell variants include the Fell Boar and the Fell Spitting Plant, both good sources of Shroud Sack
, and the heavily armored Fell Knight.
The wildlife of the Revelwood are more exotic and deadly than their counterparts in the Springlands. There is one new tameable critter - the Fae Deer
- found in both the Revelwood proper and the Blackmire. Another passive critter - the Mushroom Crab - is not tameable and will put up a considerable fight if attacked. Players in both areas should also expect to encounter aggressive packs of wild Boar roaming the forests, poisonous Spitting Plants growing around mud pits, and Bats and Spiders lurking in caves. Venturing into the Blackmire presents new dangers, including alligator-like Snapjaws attacking out of mud and tar pits, Giant Wasps patrolling the skies, and Wisps that split into multiple hostile creatures.
The Vukah are the only enemy faction missing from the Revelwood proper, but they more than make up for it by being the most prominent enemy faction of the Blackmire. The new Vukah, while not as challenging as the new Scavengers or Fell, including a spear-throwing variant and a heavily armored variant wearing a large skull mask.
Finally, the Hollow are again rare outside the
Revelwood Hollow Halls. They can be found in
Hidden Hollow Tomb and a few abandoned ruins scattered around the Revelwood, but not in the Blackmire.
