Shroud Gazer
Shroud Gazers are a hostile Fell enemy that are most often found in Shroud Lairs. They have the appearance of a large floating eyeball with short tendrils encircling it.
They drop small amounts of Archaic Essence when damaged or killed. Additional nodes of harvestable Archaic Essence will often be nearby, either in the form of yellow plants or crystalized mining nodes.
Attacks
Shroud Beam - Upon seeing the player, Shroud Gazers will briefly charge up energies before unleashing a beam of Shroud energy. This beam deals heavy damage and applies a short burn effect.
Tips
Shroud gazers can be kept effectively stunned with rapid melee attacks, preventing them from using their beam attack. Be aware that gazers can sometimes break out of the stun without warning. Players should pay attention to the gazer's "flinch" animations to spot when it is no longer stunned.
Drops
The tier of Archaic Essence dropped is always appropriately leveled for the Biome the gazer resides in.
